Remember holidays?
We find out about the best espresso bar on the second-last day of our holiday.
The same goes when we want to grow our business - we find out how as we go along the way.
Mostly through mistakes.
Notice when you make a mistake, it is the “making” bit that’s worth it.
Hmmm.
Yes, it’s about making. Creating. Crafting. Designing. Experiencing. Winning.
This is how we grow.
Not only our business will grow, but we grow as human beings.
For example, when facilitating an online workshop for a large group of people together with a more experienced co-facilitator, I tend to do the backstage work.
I felt caught in numerous questions.
Am I worth less, because of not being present so much on the frontstage during the workshop? Is backstage work less valuable?
However, without me, the deal would not have happened at all.
Let’s put that ego aside.
The team wins.
We all win together when we create together!
Even when we make mistakes.
This got me thinking '...what things do I wish I'd known before I started?’
Like the importance of showing up in the arena.
Learning to see and storytelling.
The inner balance of work and play.
The importance of love in business: purpose and determination.
So, I made this reading list in the hope it will be helpful to those of you who wish to start and make something truly remarkable.
Enjoy the ride,
P.S. If you've already started, which book helped you most?
